Location: Hybrid mix of home working (two days per week) and from The Old Vic (three days per week)
Hours: Full-Time (40 hours per week, Monday to Friday although additional hours will be necessary in order to fulfil the requirements of the post)
Salary: £42,900 to £44,900 (dependent on experience)

Role Summary
• Under the direction of the Chief Marketing Officer, and in support of the Head of Marketing & Insights, be responsible for marketing and sales at The Old Vic in order to increase audiences, achieve targets and promote The Old Vic brand to its fullest
• To lead the day-to-day delivery of the marketing campaigns and design teams
• To act, alongside the Marketing & Commercial team, as brand guardian to ensure the protection of The Old Vic brand at all times
• As a part of the wider strategic vision, to increase audiences by embracing new and innovative ways of working with the assistance of the Marketing & Commercial team.
Your Team
The Deputy Head of Marketing will report to the Head of Marketing & Insights and will work closely with the Marketing & Commercial team to lead the marketing and income generation functions of The Old Vic. They will line manage a Senior Marketing Manager and the in-house Design function.
Areas of responsibility
• To be a leader in ensuring the Marketing & Commercial team maintain productive and effective communications with all departments across the organisation
• To ensure the implementation of creative, targeted and energetic marketing campaigns in order to build audiences and achieve Box Office targets
• To lead on production marketing campaigns in collaboration with the Senior Marketing Manager and Marketing Manager
• To lead the Design team in the creation and implementation of all design output
• To work in collaboration with the Communications and Content team and the Marketing Manager (Commercial) to ensure the delivery of creative and holistic campaigns that support the promotion of productions, projects, commercial income streams and any other brand-related initiatives
• To lead, in collaboration with the Head of Marketing & Insights, all Season and show on-sales
• To monitor and track campaign activity and its impact on sales in order to hit sales targets
• To lead and maintain a close working relationship with any external marketing agencies and to provide leadership in media campaign planning to Senior Marketing Manager and Marketing Manager
• To oversee, with support from Head of Marketing & Insights, all show marketing campaign budgets
• To lead on the production of season and production artwork including, but not limited to, the set-up of photoshoots
• To liaise with the Production team regarding contractual terms relating to publicity materials
• To provide coordinated marketing leadership on production campaigns, facilitating collaboration within and between teams to foster creative excellence and achieve sales targets.
General Duties
• To provide the Box Office team with specific marketing information on each production giving sufficient knowledge to sell productions efficiently and informatively
• To provide marketing support and advice for all other areas of The Old Vic
• To regularly attend all of The Old Vic’s productions and events
• To represent The Old Vic at internal and external meetings, as required and feedback on any relevant topics
• To deputise for the Head of Marketing & Insights.

Person Specification
Essential
The post holder must be able to demonstrate the following:
• Proven experience at a managerial level in marketing, sales and in working with a press/PR team
• Self-motivated
• Able to manage concurrent projects to tight deadlines, and able to work with competing demands.
• Knowledge of box office and ticketing systems with experience in reporting
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and confidence in a creative environment
• Excellent planning and organisational skills
• Experience working in a cultural organisation and liaising with creative stakeholders
• A strong visual flair and a good attention to detail
• The ability to work collaboratively within small and large teams, managing multiple opinions
• Proven experience of setting and managing budgets
