Chair of the Board of Trustees
The Old Vic are seeking a new Chair to lead its Board of Trustees at this incredibly exciting time in its history.
As an independent charity, the theatre presents a wide range of work in its historic 1,000 seat auditorium as well as an extensive Education and Community programme and in 2025 will open a new Backstage building to house that work.
The Trustees have recently appointed Rupert Goold as the theatre’s next Artistic Director, taking over from Matthew Warchus in 2026. The new Chair will work in partnership with the Trustees, the Co-CEOs (Executive Director and Artistic Director) and the Senior Leadership Team to ensure the smooth transition of artistic leadership and to continue its successful business model of box office, philanthropy and commercial income.
Further information about the theatre and full details of the appointment can be found in the job pack, which can be downloaded here.
